Itinerary
Today you have full day of game drive in the Ndutu area giving you chance to enjoy a day long game drive through the region, taking in the shores of both Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek as well as the surrounding land where you will witness tens of thousands of young wildebeest take their first steps. You will be able to encounter large heard of wildebeest and Zebras plus good number of hyenas, and other migratory predators including Cheetahs and lions. In the afternoon you will head back to the lodge for hot lunch and a bit of rest before departing for the evening game drive again in this spectacular region of the Ngorongoro conservation area.
In the morning After you have had your breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive on route to central Serengeti area. Today we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. The central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. You will have unlimited views of what Serengeti can offer to you; The Central Serengeti offers superb game viewing all year round due to its abundance of resident animals. Specifically, the Seronera River Valley in the Central Serengeti is a ‘must see’ on every safari regardless of the specific month of travel. Resident herbivores include impala, buffalo, hippo, warthog, topi, hartebeest, and giraffe while the resident carnivores include lions, leopard, and hyenas. After this eventful day you will enjoy a restful evening inside under the chandeliers or outside around the campfire under starlit skies for sunset cocktails and to share the beautiful day safari stories with other travelers before a peaceful night rest at your beautiful rooms or tents within the Serengeti national park.
In the morning after you have had scrumptious enough breakfast at the lodge, you will depart with picnic lunch for a full day game drive to the central Serengeti area A full day on safari gives you the best chance of unforgettable moments, spotting the big five or encountering a fascinating cast of lesser-known creatures. Start your day with an unforgettable sunrise game drive across the Serengeti, see the sun setting light to the savannah as predators such as leopards and lions hunt for their morning meal. Your game viewing drive is likely to be conducted along the Sogore River Circuit which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, the place is good for spotting possible Lions, Thomson gazelles, topi, ostriches, and cheetah sightings. Central Serengeti offers a visit to visitor centre close to the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and some public campsites, is well worth a visit after the morning’s game drive. This nicely designed centre offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area. The centre also has a shop where cold drinks and snacks can be purchased, as well as a picnic area and information trail up and around a nearby kopje. You will enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at this centre in the shade of the giant acacia trees under beautiful umbrella like-designed huts. After enjoying your delicious lunch break you, we will proceed on an afternoon game drive trying to spot as many wildlife as possible within central Serengeti such as hippos, a number of beautiful birds, hyenas, Buffalos, possible snakes, and other reptiles and so much more. Balloon safari (Option with extra charges) in Serengeti offers you an opportunity to be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a Hot air balloon over the Serengeti Plains allowing you to floating silently above the awakening bushes while spotting abundant wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa from the air. After this full day of excursions, you will wind up the day by a restful night at a beautiful lodge within the central Serengeti to enjoy the cool night in the heart of wild Africa.
